A better connected Burnley - Burnley Connect is the name for our network of services around the town and into Pendle.
Burnley Connect are local buses running throughout the day, 7 days a week. From Burnley Bus Station we have routes out to Rose Grove, Stoops Estate, Summit, Worsthorne, Bacup, Nelson and Higherford PLUS right into Boundary Mill once an hour, 7 days a week.
During the day, Burnley Connect services generally run at least every 30 minutes, with higher frequencies on some routes, so this is a great way to travel.
The Burnley Connect livery is similar to the familiar Mainline red colour scheme, to highlight the family connection. Some vehicles on the routes were new in 2015. These are WrightBus StreetLite Micro Hybrids, which are built from lightweight materials and feature regenerative braking technology. This uses the kinetic energy from braking to charge the battery; this energy can then be used to power auxiliaries such as the lights. These features make the buses more energy efficient and therefore better for the environment.
As you'd expect with modern buses, inside is bright and comfortable with room for buggies and wheelchairs, a powered wheelchair ramp, and CCTV cameras for your added safety.
