Mainline Children and Young People

Children

Aged under 5

Up to 3 children aged under 5 may travel free of charge with each fare-paying customer. (This includes anyone who has bought a ticket on the bus or who has a prepaid ticket.)

Under 19's – go cheaper with Ugo!

Children and young people aged 5 to 18 inclusive

Children and young people aged between 5 up to and including 18 who ask for a Ugo ticket (or child fare) may travel at a reduced rate, which is usually around one third off the adult fare, without proof of age.

You no longer need a Young Person's Saver Card to prove entitlement to reduced fare. However, we still reserve the right to ask older looking customers for identification from time to time.

Student Discount Schemes

We work with some local colleges to support them in offering reduced fares for students on tickets valid for an academic term. Our bus network is ideal for travelling to your place of study and then on to meet up with friends, to get to work, or just go shopping. These tickets are usually on sale from student services, and you will receive details in your registration or enrolment pack, so pop in and ask at your college for details of any tickets available. You will need to show your valid Student ID Card to the driver when you travel with a ticket issued by a college.
