Senior Citizens & Disabled Persons Concessions
The English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) allows the holder of any ENCTS permit to travel free of charge on Transdev services from 09:30 on Mondays to Fridays, any time Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
For older people, if you were born after 5 April 1950, the age you become eligible for a pass is tied to changes in the State Pension age. For more details on eligibility, please visit the Directgov website.
Obtaining a Permit
To take advantage of free bus travel eligible people need a permit, which in Lancashire is issued as a NoWcard, a smart bus pass.
When you travel by bus please tell the driver your destination as you board, then take your ticket.
Permits are issued free of charge and may be obtained through your Borough Council or District Council.
