Happy customers give Red Express a huge thumbs up!14-02-2017
We're blown away by our latest customer satisfaction survey results on Red Express after you gave us a whopping 99% satisfaction rating!
We recently asked you for your views on Red Express, distributing surveys at bus stops, our bus stand in Manchester city centre and on board our buses. We wanted to know what you like, what you don't like and what we could be doing better.
Well, the results are now in – and they've produced an overwhelmingly positive set of scores for Red Express, including:
- An amazing 99% customer satisfaction rate (those who responded 'satisfied' or 'very satisfied' in the survey)
- 72 per cent of customers couldn't name a single thing they didn't like about Red Express
Also rated highly in the survey were our friendly drivers, great value for money fares and top quality facilities on board, including fast and free WiFi, and USB charging points at every seat.
Over three quarters of customers agreed that catching Red Express is cheaper than taking the train, with many saying how convenient the service is for commuting, shopping and leisure trips, and over three quarters also agreed that Red Express offers a cheaper alternative to driving!
The Blackburn Bus Company's General Manager, Shaun Walmsley said: “We're very encouraged by these results, which show an amazing 99 per cent customer satisfaction rating for Red Express.
“We know that our regular customers love the value, friendliness, speed and quality of the service, and these outstanding results show how popular Red Express really is.
“We're especially encouraged that 17 per cent of customers surveyed have started using Red Express in the last year alone. That shows we're winning more and more people over every day.
“Even so, we want every passenger who chooses Red Express to have an excellent journey, every time, and we're grateful for all the suggestions we've received as part of this survey.
“These are very encouraging results, but for us they are only the beginning. Our whole team on the buses and behind the scenes is working hard to make Red Express even better in future.”
The survey also showed that almost a third of Red Express passengers take advantage of bargain weekly and monthly season tickets, including the fantastic value Gold card – available for a week, a month or a whole year to travel any time, anywhere on Red Express and all other Transdev buses across Lancashire and Yorkshire, from Preston to the Yorkshire Coast.
And Red Express passengers keep coming back for more – an amazing 61 per cent of those surveyed travel on at least two days every week, with 39 per cent using the service on more than three days each week.
In contrast, three quarters of those surveyed travel by train less than once every month, and an amazing 89 per cent said they never use the train for the journey they were making on Red Express. A third have been choosing the Red Express bus for more than five years – and 44 per cent could have used a car for their journey, but chose Red Express instead.
