We're venturing on the Valleyline - coming soon to the heart of the Ribble Valley

We've got some very exciting news for you, if you use the bus to travel between Blackburn, Whalley and Clitheroe.

The 22 is getting a makeover - and from Sunday 21 May, Valleyline is your bold, bright new identity for the 22.

Valleyline takes you from Blackburn into the heart of the Ribble Valley. We're really proud to serve some of the most beautiful towns and stunning countryside in the whole of England - from Clitheroe's rolling hills to Whalley's impressive arches.

As well as a sparkling new identity, the 22 will be extended to the Royal Blackburn Hospital and Shadsworth, creating a brand new direct link to the hospital from the north of the town.

There will be more and better buses, too, running up to every 30 mins between Clitheroe, Whalley, Blackburn and Shadsworth. And we're bringing you a host of new features on board, including superfast free 4G WiFi and USB power.

As part of these changes, the Shadsworth Shuttle will be replaced by the newly-extended 22, which will run along the same route as the Shadsworth Shuttle. All buses, including evening and Sunday journeys, will use the current daytime route of the Shadsworth Shuttle. Evening journeys between Blackburn and Shadsworth will finish around 8pm.

To whet your appetite, here's a sneaky preview of your revitalised buses!
