Our General Manager, Steve Ottley said: “The Burnley Bus Bash is our way of saying thank you to the people of East Lancashire who travel with us every day.
“It's also a chance to get up close and personal with the first of our amazing new buses for the Burnley Mainline network - each packed with passenger-friendly features inspired by our far-reaching 'Make My Mainline' market research programme, which attracted hundreds of suggestions from our customers.
“Our new name, The Burnley Bus Company, will be seen for the first time at this event, reflecting our pride in our local routes as we take local public transport to the next level.
“There'll be vintage buses to tell the story of decades of proud service to the people of Burnley and Pendle - and plenty of fun to keep the whole family entertained. It'll be a fantastic day out and we're all looking forward to it.”
We're also inviting Lancashire craft stall operators to set up shop at the bus depot on the big day – and we're hoping to attract vintage bus owners to join in the fun.
Transdev Burnley General Manager Steve Ottley added: “We want to make this event a showcase for the best that our area can offer, and it's a great opportunity for local craft retailers to bring their products to our visitors.
“Many buses and coaches which served Lancashire over the years are now in preservation, and we're keen to invite their owners to bring them to our depot to create a display which reflects the proud past and amazing future of transport in Burnley.”
Full details of the event will be available here nearer the time of the event. Stallholders and vintage bus owners can contact the company by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
