Using the bus to travel between Accrington, Oswaldtwistle and Blackburn just became a proper no-brainer! We've brought brand new, state of the art buses to the 6&7, now whizzing up and down the roads along with major improvements to the roads and facilities along the routes.
The amazing new buses are equipped with all the latest technology and creature comforts, including superfast free WIFI, USB power sockets at every seat, next-stop announcements and stylish designer interiors. What's more, they feature pioneering 'countdown' destination displays, to let you know exactly when the bus will depart!
The buses also introduce our new name – The Blackburn Bus Company – reflecting our proud heritage of serving Lancashire since 1929.
It's not just the buses that are changing. We're now zipping fast through the rush hour traffic using dedicated lanes for our buses, which have opened as part of the £40 million Pennine Reach rapid transit scheme. The bright and airy new bus stations in Accrington and Blackburn town centres are also open, so you can jump off the bus and head straight into the shops, or await your ride home in comfort and style.

Employees have been invited to try our bus services across the North as we get behind, Catch the Bus Week, a national campaign to boost bus travel.
We're invading local employers across the north to spread the word about Catch the Bus Week.
We've started to take delivery of our £4 million order of new buses which have all been designed and manufactured in Yorkshire at innovative bus specialists Optare. The 28 single deck Versa and Solo buses, which pride themselves on having the very latest on-board technology, will go into service across Yorkshire and Lancashire from the end of June.
Its Bank Holiday weekend, so there's three days to make the most of. It's time for day trip!
